For the past few months, I’ve been writing something I wasn’t sure I’d ever share. It started as a collection of memories — the ones that stayed loud even when I tried to quiet them — and slowly became a story about survival, family, silence, and the long road toward becoming someone new.

Somewhere along the way, it turned into a memoir.

Perfectly Imperfect: The Quiet That Taught Me to Speak is the book I never thought I’d write, and the one I realized I needed to. It’s about the walls we grow up inside, the ones we build ourselves, and the ones we finally learn to step beyond. It’s about control, chaos, love, loss, and the small moments that shape us long before we understand them.

It’s also about the people who helped me rebuild — the ones who turned my life into something steady, honest, and worth fighting for.

This memoir isn’t polished in the sense of perfection. It’s polished in the sense of truth. It’s the story of a girl who learned to be quiet, a teenager who learned to survive, and a woman who finally learned to speak.
